Expected Value

    The use of expected value is clear: logically and rationally making decisions. Its useful in gambling. Applying expected value to odds in Vegas is enough to lose any possible interest one might have to gamble in Vegas. Ever. I know I sure did.

    However, there are other applications of expected value other than gambling. In games, for example, using probability to determine possible outcomes is a useful skill to have.
